Open call to join the 3rd WIMANET workshop
About the workshop
The 3rd WIMANET Workshop will take place from 2nd – 5th September 2026 in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Extremadura, Badajoz, Spain. The workshop will take the form of the VII International Conference on Malaria and other blood parasites of Wildlife & IV International symposium of Wildlife Diseases Research Network.
This will be a hybrid event, allowing WIMANET participants to attend from all over the world. The call for funding applications will open on 16th March 2026 and close on 16th April 2026. Applicants must have registered for the conference via the conference website before the 16th April.
Please note: funding applications for the pre-conference summer school, the conference, and the 3rd Summer Training School must be submitted as separate applications.
About the application process
Applications are open to participants from EU and non-EU countries. Applicants must have an eCOST profile and have applied to be a member of WIMANET in order for their application to be approved. You can apply to join WIMANET here.
Applications must be e-mailed to the Grant Awarding Coordinator, Dr Alexandra Conduneanu, and to the WIMANET email.
The application consists of the following documents:
- Fill the attached form with the required information.
- a CV, including a list of academic publications if applicable.
The applications will be ranked by the Core Group based on:
- benefits to the applicant in terms of career progression,
- benefit and contribution to the development of the COST Action.
- Proposed contribution to the conference
The selection will follow the COST policies on inclusiveness (gender, age, geography). The final ranking will be approved by the Action Chair and Co-Chair. All researchers who applied to the call will be informed of the outcome of their application by 1st May 2026.
Please note: We anticipate that there will be more applications than we can fund. The Core Group’s decision is final and based on the information provided in this form.
